The Action Button Panel in register by ability business is a compact drop-up menu that provides quick access to important cart-level operations. This panel enhances workflow efficiency by grouping all secondary cart actions into a single menu.
📍 Location #
The Action Button Panel is located beneath the cart item list on the bottom left side of the checkout register cart area. It appears as a gray button with white text that expands upward when clicked or tapped.
🔽 How to Open the Panel #
- Navigate to the Cart Area in the register checkout interface.
- Click or tap the Action Button.
- A drop-up menu will appear, listing all available cart-related operations.
🛠️ Available Cart Operations #
The exact options may vary depending on your configuration, but typically include: #
Edit Transaction Data: Change the receipt date and add or change the customer name.
Apply Global Discount: Set a receipt wide discount by percentage or dollar amount.
Accept Return: Search by receipt number or customer name to complete a sales return.
Hide Quick Pick: Show or hide the Quick Pick list in the top right of the register checkout cart area. If the Quick Pick is hidden, alternatively select Show Quick Pick to show your Quick Pick list.
Show Action List: Provides an audit log for actions performed by different users on the current receipt and that may need approval. Click or tap User Profile Allowed Actions to display a list of actions allowed for the currently logged-in user.
🔒 Permissions
Certain actions (like applying discounts) can be restricted by user profile permissions. Speak to your system administrator if you need access to features that aren’t visible.
