Ringing Up a Sale During checkout #

Ringing up a sale in checkout with register POS is simple and straightforward. Whether you’re scanning items, searching for a product, or selecting frequently sold items from your Quick Pick list, register helps you move through checkout efficiently.

Once you’ve added all the items to the transaction, you can apply a discount, choose a payment method, and complete the sale. You can also split payments when a customer needs to pay using more than one method.

Steps to Ring Up a Sale #

1. Scan the item, utilize the search item bar, or select the item from your Quick Pick list.
2. You can see your Quick Pick list by selecting “Actions” and then select “Show Quick Pick Items”. 
3. To add a discount select “Actions” and then select “Apply Discount”. 
4. Select the “Pay” button.
5. Select “Cash”, “Credit”, or “Account”. 
6. Select “Complete” to finalize the transaction.

Note: You are able to split payments between cash, credit, and account. 

Payment Options #

register POS offers flexible payment options to help accommodate your customers at checkout.

• Cash: Accept cash payments and complete the transaction.
• Credit: Process a credit card payment using your configured payment workflow.
• Account: Apply the payment to a customer’s account when using the account payment option.

If a customer wants to use more than one payment method, you can split the payment between cash, credit, and account. This gives you flexibility at checkout without requiring the entire transaction to be paid using a single method.

Helpful checkout Tips #

• Use Quick Pick Items: Add frequently sold products to your Quick Pick list to make them easier to access during checkout.
• Search for Items: If an item isn’t readily available on your screen, use the search item bar to locate it.
• Apply Discounts: Use the discount option under “Actions” when a transaction qualifies for a discount.
• Review the Transaction: Before selecting “Complete,” verify that the items and payment details are correct.

Following these steps can help keep checkout moving smoothly while ensuring each transaction is completed with the appropriate payment method.
